Look for one change at a time

In non-verbal reasoning, inspect shape, position, rotation, size, and number. In verbal reasoning, inspect meaning, letter order, and word relationships. A good rule explains every step.

Test the rule before choosing

A tempting answer often matches only the last item. The stronger approach is: find a possible rule, apply it to each step, then choose the option that continues the same rule.
